4 P’S OF WINTER PREPAREDNESS
Remember the 4 P’s of Winter Preparedness to help keep your household, pets, and property safe during a winter weather event.
- People — Check in on Family & Neighbors. Especially those who are vulnerable or older. Dress for the weather. Stay warm and wear layers.
- Pets — Don't forget your pets and animals. Keep them warm and bring them inside if possible.
- Plants — If you have outdoor plants that are vulnerable to colder weather, move them or bring them inside where it is warm.
- Pipes — When temperatures drop low, pipes can freeze and burst. Disconnect your garden hose, insulate outdoor pipes, and leave a faucet dripping to avoid this.
