Lane Closure Notice
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the contractor will implement the following closures as part of the SH 46 project to accommodate a traffic switch (Phase 3B):
***Sunday, October 26, 2025
The US 281 southbound off-ramp to SH 46 will be closed overnight to complete the traffic switch to Phase 3B. This closure is necessary to move traffic into a new configuration.
***Sunday, October 26, 2025 to approximately Wednesday, November 5, 2025:
The US 281 northbound on-ramp from SH 46 will be closed for construction work associated with the Phase 3B switch.
A detour will be in place directing SH 46 traffic to travel south on US 281, then use the turnaround to access US 281 northbound.
The ramp will remain closed until work is completed, which is estimated to take one to one and a half weeks.
