In Spring of 2014, the Bulverde City Council initiated a storm water drainage study of the Lewis Creek Watershed. The study evaluated current drainage conditions, developed a hydraulic model of the watershed, and performed a preliminary analysis of future watershed conditions to evaluate possible mitigation features. The hydraulic model will be used to evaluate new developments’ impacts to the watershed, and provides the City with new applicable “Best Available Data.” The study effort and results were presented to the City Council and the general public on October 8, 2014. The engineering model was formally adopted in Spring of 2015.
