Big Trash Day in the City of Bulverde!
The City of Bulverde will host Big Trash Day on Saturday, April 11th, from 8:00 AM to Noon at City Hall (30360 Cougar Bend). This event provides City of Bulverde residents with an opportunity to dispose of large household items that are not typically collected with regular trash service.
Acceptable items include:
- Furniture and bulky household items
- Appliances and “white goods” such as washers, dryers, stoves, sinks, bath tubs, and hot water heaters
- Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners only if tagged by a licensed technician certifying Freon removal
Not accepted: construction or demolition debris, hazardous waste, chemicals, tires, batteries, medical waste, or flammable liquids.
This service is for City of Bulverde residents only.
Waste Connections will collect all acceptable items as outlined below.
Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, or any item containing CFC’s must be tagged by a licensed technician certifying Freon removal, white goods (i.e. hot water heaters, washer and dryer machines, bath tubs, stoves, sinks, and furniture)
UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS:
Items comprised of construction or demolition debris or any waste resulting from remodeling, general property clean-up or clearing of the property for the preparation of construction (i.e., cartons, rocks, dirt, concrete, excelsior, gypsum board, metal, paper, plastic, rubber, and wood products), or hazardous waste.
- Gasoline, motor oil, paint, chemicals, and similar flammable liquids
- Medical waste (including needles and syringes), animals or human waste
- Tires, car batteries, and large pieces of metal (car fenders, engines, etc.)
- Used oil filters or any hazardous or toxic waste
